I can't believe this place only has 6 reviews. I'm from Michigan and every time my Canadian girlfriend and I come to Windsor it seems like we are disappointed time and time again by most of the local restaurants, until we tried this one. This place is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! I'm guessing that Jerry is the owner because there are a few dishes with his name on them. My girlfriend had the Shrimp Dinner and I had the Scallop/Shrimp/Jerry's Special. The whole thing was under $47.00CAD TOTAL. It's hard to find but there's a Burger KIng (yuk!) in the same strip mall. Definitely worth the drive even if you don't live close by. Trip advisor gives them mostly five star reviews and I can see why. Great food! https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g1236123-d2667601-Reviews-Orient_Restaurant_Japanese_Grill-LaSalle_Ontario.html

This place is so simply good... the miso soup is $1.78... and it's absolute comfort and flavour. In my opinion the best miso in the Windsor area.. I would even put up against Detroit. The seaweed is almost Al-Dente. Perfect balance of salt and bean curd. Hot but not scalding. Jerry the cook /owner is constantly working his grill tops. No flaming volcano here! Every order made fresh. You can see all sauces are made in house. The ginger dressing on simple salad. The spicy marinade for the Jerry special mix of beef and chicken. Never disappointed always full.

One of my favorite restaurant. Very simple menu but delicious food. I generally order the chicken stir fry with fried rice. The sauce it comes with it is just too good. My earlier manager used to aptly call it nectar. The dressing on the salad is amazing. I am not a ginger fan but this dressing is very different and good.

Have some time to kill so eating here right now. I found this on Yelp while looking for something cheap to eat near St. Clair College. Let's start out saying wow, prices are so low! This is a great place for a broke student to eat. Since I'm eating alone to kill time and I have nothing better to do I'll review everything I get while I eat. Miso soup: on point. This is hard to mess up... But it's a good start to my meal. Salad in ginger dressing: this comes with every entree. Just plain iceberg lettuce with dressing. I've never had anything like this dressing but it was delicious and a great appetizer. Jerry's special: pretty good. A stir fry with chicken and beef. I got a lot bigger a portion than I expected given the price. A lot more chicken than beef unfortunately, especially since the beef tastes so good! Seems like a basic cabbage, onion, mushroom, and zucchini (didn't realize Japanese food used zucchini) stir fry on top of fried rice. Overall very satisfied. Special sauce: I was given some special homemade sauce to put on my entree. It looks like mayo gone bad. Getting past the funny yellowish look this sauce is awesome! Not sure what it tastes like but it is a great addition to my food. Salad again: same as the first one but I just wanted more! Plus it's only $1.50 for a side salad, who can beat that price! I'm not sure what it is about this simple salad that tastes so good but the watery lettuce goes well with the salty stir fry. Overall I am extremely happy to have found this place. I'll definitely be bringing my girl friend here soon for a cheap date!

Great place. Good prices and tasty food. Small menu.. But they make everything well. Even the salad with ginger dressing is good. Not the fanciest.. But who castes? Very diner feel to it. Awesome place for lunch, service is quick and they make everything in front of you fresh.

Now this is where you go to get a good stir fry! Agree with the other person who commented, one of my favorite places to eat in LaSalle. The delicious food and amazing service should be more than enough to make anyone fall in love with the place. But then you get the bill and you're like: "What?! You're really charging me that little?!" Oftentimes, my tip is half the price of what I paid to eat there. The Jerry's Special with some siracha is, pretty well, Heaven. Extremely Well-Priced Heaven And it is so wonderfully healthy, too. It's not often that something so good for you tastes so great, too. The owner seems to live behind the counter and yet always greets you with a happy smile as you walk in. The wait-staff is extremely friendly. I've seen them actually waiting for your order to be completed and then, immediately, bringing it over to you. You can't ask for prompter service than that! My glass is never less than half-full before I'm being offered a re-fill. Even the person that rings you through at the end is so kind and polite that it knocks you over. The place seems pretty busy any time I go in there with both sit-down and take-out service. But, you know what? It should be even busier! This is a place everyone should make a regular stop for. Particularly if you're trying to stay healthy but still want something with flavor. It's a bit hard to spot because of where it's located in the plaza. But it's more than worth searching for. Eat here. That's all I can really say. You won't find a more delicious, good-for-you and affordable stir fry in the area.

My absolute favourite restaurant in LaSalle! Great place to pick up a quick and healthy meal at an awesome price. Entrees including veggies, meat and rice are all under $10 and the portions are huge. Make sure you try the Gyoza dumplings, they're delicious and homemade. The bottle of sauce they bring over with your meal is incredible so be sure to try some with your stirfry!
